Bacillus thuringiensis insecticide is a microbial preparation produced by fermentation and cultivation of Bacillus thuringiensis.

Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt), also known as Bacillus thuringiensis, has been discovered for 100 years and has played a significant role in pest control. It is the most extensively researched, rapidly developed, and widely used microbial insecticide in recent years. Bacillus thuringiensis belongs to the aerobic Bacillus cereus group. During its growth and development, it produces spores and forms a protein toxin inside the spore sac. This protein toxin is usually observed under a microscope as irregular diamond shaped crystals, known as companion crystals. This bacterium can produce two types of toxins, namely endotoxins (accompanied by spore crystals) and exotoxins, with endotoxins playing a major role and acting rapidly, while exotoxins act slowly.

Bacillus thuringiensis can erode the intestinal wall cells and tissues in the alkaline midgut of insects, causing paralysis of the intestine within a few minutes, leading to insects stopping feeding and quickly damaging the intestinal lining. The toxin of Bacillus thuringiensis enters the hemolymph tissue, causing insect sepsis and leading to the death of pests due to hunger and sepsis.

This product is a raw material for pesticide formulation processing and should not be used in crops or other places. Common dosage forms: 4000IU/μ L Bacillus thuringiensis suspension, 8000IU/μ L Bacillus thuringiensis suspension, 16000IU/mg Bacillus thuringiensis wettable powder, 32000IU/mg Bacillus thuringiensis wettable powder, 50000IU/mg Bacillus thuringiensis wettable powder.
